ApoH Sample Preparation

Improving sensitivity of detection and discrimination

The ApoH technology is a unique sample pre-treatment solution to improve the detection and characterization of infectious agents. This technology is derived from the intrinsic properties of a plasma protein, Apolipoprotein H (ApoH), also called Beta-2 glycoprotein 1 (B2GP1) to capture and concentrate microorganisms from diverse complex samples including clinical or veterinarian fluids (blood, saliva, urine, feces) or tissues (organs, oyster, shrimps, salmon, mosquitoes, etc.), as well as samples from the environment (plants, water, soil). This new reliable method for a microbial concentration radically enhances the sensitivity of any detection test, providing high-quality libraries for nucleic acid detection, genomic and metagenomic sequencing. Thus, by providing a methodology to efficiently remove naturally present inhibitors before subsequent analyses, ApoH-coated magnetic beads insures our customers, a cutting-edge approach in detection sensitivity that in addition, reduce analysis delays and costs.
