This innovative vaccine development platform integrates principles in computational, synthetic and combinatorial biology to evaluate and express pathogen-specific motif fingerprints:

1) Conserved in multiple pathogen species including unknown variants and possible engineered biothreats.

2) Found in multiple proteins of the same genome.

3) Shared across host and pathogen protein domains to affect immune-related signaling, regulatory, or metabolic pathways.

Combinatorial vaccines can be designed, produced and tested in relatively short periods of time and are therefore a viable countermeasure platform in those cases where there are no available therapeutic treatments.
